[Must Read] 10 Things You Should Let Go Of...

1. Stop wasting your time watching rubbish on TV
How many times have you sat through an entire TV programme and then ended up complaining about how awful it was? This experience is too common not to learn from. Be proactive. Switch off the TV when a programme is boring and put that time to use for something more productive.
2. Putting on your makeup before you go to the gym
Makes no sense. Because you are only going to get hot and sweaty when you work out and the makeup is going to wear off and spread haphazardly, making you look horrible and feel uncomfortable. So, really, why bother putting it on in the first place? Give makeup a miss and you’ll be surprised how much time you’ll save. Besides, ultimately, no one will notice anyway – it’s a gym, remember?
3. Worrying about what other people think
A useful tip on how to stop wasting time and become happier is to stop stressing about people’s opinion of you, as it’s an utter waste of your time. So long as you are happy with who you are, that’s all that counts. You won’t change other people’s mind about you anyway, so let them get on with it. Let it go.

4. Posting everything you do on social media
Are you a media house covering your own life? Are you one of those people who take photos of every event of the day and then pass it on as news onto your followers on social media? Work out how much time you are wasting on that and then ask yourself if the whole world really needs to know what you had for lunch or what you saw on your way to the shop.
5. Gossiping
Okay, admittedly, gossiping can be fun, but you have to draw the line somewhere. No one can resist a little bit of gossip, but it won’t actually get you anywhere with anything. Trim down your daily gossip quota and spend more time on yourself.
6. Chasing unrequited love
If you don’t seem to be making headway with your crush, then take the hint and give up the pursuit. If a person really isn’t interested into you, you should be able to accept things the way they are, and also to have the strength to move on.
7. Worrying about the past
You can’t change the past, so why worry about it? Think about it. Wallowing in regret, wondering if you could have done something differently, won’t make any difference to what you actually did. Forget it. Concentrate on what you are doing right now and how you can do it well and with happiness.
cool.
8. Doing things that you hate doing
If you hate doing it, why on earth are you doing it at all? Life is short, so fill it with the things that you enjoy. If it’s a chore that absolutely has to be done, then get it done quickly. If it’s something that isn’t essential then leave it and move on to something that will be fun and worthwhile.

9. Following the path that is getting you nowhere
This piece of advice applies equally to relationships and careers. If a chosen path doesn’t appear to be leading where you want it to, then change directions fast. Don’t waste your time being stuck within a place without passion and happiness. Get out and explore new opportunities – you’ll be surprised how many there are.
10. Complaining about how bad your life is
Look, everyone has issues. If you really do think that life has dealt you a bad hand, then deal with it and try and recover! Keep going. Complaining won’t fix any problems, so stand up for yourself and make the changes. You are the architect of your own happiness – take this job seriously.

How to Enjoy Christmas Day Spent All by Yourself

Christmas time is often associated with family and getting together with loved ones. However, if you don't have any family or loved ones to spend Christmas with and your friends will be with their own family, it can be a challenging time for you. If you resolve to make the most of the day though, you can still celebrate Christmas in a joyful and cheerful way.

1. Begin with gratitude.
Before you begin handing out the gifts and tearing in to them, take a moment to reflect on all of your blessings since last Christmas. Write them down. Look at all of the good you have in your life and be grateful.

2. Set a budget.
If you know exactly how much you are going to spend this Christmas, then shopping becomes much easier. Don’t feel pressured by the media, the advertisements, or other people to spend more than you intend.

3. Decorate for Christmas.
While it may seem unusual to decorate when you're by yourself, it is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit and lift your own spirits. Choose your favorite decorations, or go out an purchase some new ones if you don't have any. If you enjoy making things, you can also make your own Christmas decorations for a special touch.

4. Play Christmas music.
Prepare a playlist of your favorite Christmas songs, or purchase pre-recorded Christmas CDs. Keep the music playing on Christmas day to help you feel in the spirit. As an added bonus, you can sing as loudly as you want along with the carols and not feel embarrassed!

5. Buy yourself some gifts.
It's normal to buy things for yourself all through the year, so it's just fine to treat yourself at Christmas too. The great thing about buying gifts for yourself is that you get exactly what you want in the color, shape and size you want. Wrap the gifts up using great Christmas paper and put them under the tree to open on Christmas morning. Even though you know what they are, it's still fun to have new special things on Christmas.

5. Prepare great Christmas meal. Since you are celebrating Christmas on your own, you can serve all your very own favorite foods. This might be as quirky as turkey and ice cream. Get your favorite foods, your favorite drinks, your favorite dessert and all the trimmings. Set the table up beautifully with a special tablecloth and candles to make it feel like an extra special meal.

Tea can kill your sex life!

Satisfying woman in bed is on of the important things that make a man worthy of his sex.

A man with weak libido or weak erection can’t be a happy man; just as his partner is likely to keep wondering what the problems are.

Yet, physicians warn that the choice of tea that a man drinks might influence his performance in the bedroom!
The average person loves to drink tea, especially as a part of breakfast meal any day.
Nutritionists say tea is good, and there is no time of the day that it can’t be taken. However, sex experts warn that certain teas are not recommended for men, because such teas can kill and bury a man’s ability to have erection and satisfy a woman sexually.

One of such teas is the licorice tea. According to researchers at the University of Maryland Medical Centre, it is best to seek pre-approval from your doctor before you embark on drinking this particular tea!
They warn that if you eat a few pieces of black licorice, it won’t hurt your sex drive. However, eating a lot of it could. And how do you determine the quantity when you gulp it down as tea?
The scientists warn that consuming licorice can result in hormonal changes, including a reduced libido in both men and women.

Like licorice, like mint tea
Another tea that can also wreak havoc on libido is mint tea. Just like the licorice tea, mint tea can be bad for the libido as well, experts warn.

“Mints and mint oils are flavoured with menthol, which can reduce testosterone,” an expert warns.

And, you’d better believe this, there are teas that combine these two elements. It’s called Mint Licorice Tea!

6 ways to destress this Xmas period

As the year comes to an end you need to find ways to destress despite pressures from almost every corner.
Here are six booze-free ways to unwind.

• Work out
Exercise forces your mind off the cares of the day. If you do it properly and have a really vigorous workout, you’ll feel better because of all the oxygen in your blood. There’ll be endorphins in your system too – call them nature’s Prozac. You need to exercise for at least 40 minutes before they kick in, but they’ll keep working for hours afterwards. The other reason that exercise is good for you is this: most blokes feel guilty when they don’t and justifiably feel good when they do.

• Soak it off

Run yourself a warm – not scalding – bath, and put in a few drops of lavender, juniper, chamomile, geranium, clary sage or sandalwood. Any combination of these is fine, but put in no more than six drops. Then have a soak.

• Laughter is the best medicine
Laughter is good for your blood pressure, so build up a library of stuff that tickles you, whether it’s Calvin and Hobbes collections, Goon Show recordings, Fawlty Towers videos or just your high school yearbook - once you hit a certain age the hairstyles are always good for a chuckle.
Some people find the very idea of gardening stressful, but a bonsai tree or miniature garden can be therapeutic. Plus gardening comes with many health benefits. For example, getting your hands dirty exposes you to friendly bacteria, which can boost your immune system and even your mood. Our bodies actually need a balance of bacteria (the good kind) to be healthy.

• Cook something

Studies show that food odours help reduce stress. So knock up a fragrant curry or some garlicky pasta with pungent parmesan cheese. Just shopping for fresh greens can be therapeutic. Back to the kitchen: if you’re really feeling careworn, slam together a meal that’s high in carbohydrates and has no protein. Think pasta or pasta salad (easy on the oily dressing), rice, a mixture of pulses and grains, or simply a baked potato. This works because carbohydrates trigger the release of serotonin, a brain chemical that calms you.

• Don’t talk shop

Having six beers with the guys from the office may be a tradition, but it’s one that’s worth breaking. Most social events of this sort involve shoptalk, which won’t help anyone relax. And the habit of drinking a lot socially has its own problems. A little of what you fancy is definitely good for you, as long as it’s a little beer, wine, chocolate or biltong, and not cocaine or tobacco.
